Road Atlanta Race Report
Road Atlanta was my first race after our winter rebuild and runoffs
victory. On Thursday the weather was about 55 degrees and sunny,
the remainder of the weekend was a high of 45. We attended the test
day to work out all the bugs, after three excellent sessions we felt
the car had improved from last year. During Saturdays qualifiers
the run group consisted of 50 cars from many classes, this made
getting a clear lap nearly impossible. Upon completion of the
qualifying races we won pole position with a new track record,
1.26.9. Sundays race ran smoothly with consecutive 7 second lead lap
times over second place. We are expecting a great 2006 season. My
dad and I would like to thank Avon tires, Elite Engines, and Pennon
Composites, A.R.E.A. Group, and all track volunteers.
